Tungsten carbide balls are used in applications requiring extreme hardness and resistance to wear and abrasion; and are able to withstand hard shocks and impacts. Craig Ball Sales tungsten carbide balls are made with 6% nickel binder or 9% nickel binder.
Applications using tungsten carbide balls include special valves, flow meters, recirculating ball bearing screws, linear bearings and balls for ball point pens. They are also used for minting, and for measurement or calibration of holes and measurement checking devices.
